Website Privacy Policy

Effective and Last Updated: August 14, 2026

Rest (“Rest,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit restsensor.com or another Rest webpage that links to this policy (collectively, the “Website”), and the choices available to you.

Scope. This policy applies only to the public Website, website inquiries, demo requests, and related marketing communications. It does not govern information processed through Rest sensor products, customer accounts, the Rest dashboard or platform, installations, monitoring, or services provided to hotels or other customers. Those activities are governed by the applicable customer agreement or separate notice.

Accuracy of this notice. This policy describes our current Website practices. Additional notices presented when information is collected may supplement this policy for a particular feature or jurisdiction.

1. Personal Information We Collect

  • Communications and request information. The content of forms, inquiries, demo requests, and other communications, together with information needed to respond.
  • Device and network information. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language settings, identifiers, and similar technical information.
  • Website activity and approximate location. Pages viewed, links selected, referring and exit pages, timestamps, session and interaction data, and general location inferred from an IP address, such as country, region, or city.
  • Marketing and privacy preferences. Subscriptions, consent choices, cookie settings, and interactions with our marketing communications.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, financial-account information, payment-card information, medical information, biometric information, precise geolocation, or other sensitive personal information through public Website forms.

2. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you, such as when you submit a form, request a demo, subscribe to updates, or communicate with us.
  • Automatically from your browser or device through server logs and, subject to applicable consent choices, cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies.
  • From service providers that support Website hosting, security, consent management, analytics, customer relationship management, forms, marketing, and communications.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Website, remember choices, understand Website use, and measure our own communications and campaigns. These technologies may cause your browser or device to communicate information—such as an IP address, device and browser details, the page visited, and interaction data—to Rest and the providers identified in our Cookiebot cookie declaration.

Cookiebot CMP. We use Cookiebot CMP, provided by Usercentrics, to display our consent banner, store and communicate your choices, and help prevent non-essential technologies from operating until any required consent has been obtained. A consent record may include a consent identifier, time and date, domain, and selected categories.

Cookie categories. Depending on the technologies active on the Website, Cookiebot may classify them as Necessary, Preferences, Statistics, or Marketing. Necessary technologies support core functions, security, and privacy choices. Optional technologies operate only as permitted by your selections and applicable law.

Your choices. You may accept, reject, or select optional categories in the banner. You may change or withdraw your choices at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the Website footer. Browser settings may also allow you to delete or block cookies, although doing so may affect Website functionality.

Current cookie details. The Cookie Policy / Cookie Declaration identifies technologies detected on the Website, their providers, purposes, categories, and typical durations. Because Website technologies can change, that declaration is the current source for cookie-level details.

HubSpot. We use HubSpot to support forms, customer relationship management, communications, and, depending on our configuration and your choices, Website and email analytics. HubSpot processes form, device, activity, and communications information on our behalf for these purposes.

No cross-context behavioral advertising. Rest does not use Website information to serve you advertising based on activity across non-Rest businesses, websites, or services. Rest does not permit optional advertising or social-media tracking technologies to operate on the Website unless this policy and our consent controls are first updated to describe and manage that practice as required.

4. How We Use Personal Information

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Website.
  • Respond to demo requests, inquiries, and other communications.
  • Manage subscriptions and send marketing communications as permitted by law.
  • Understand Website performance and engagement and improve our content, products, services, and user experience.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent misuse, fraud, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
  • Comply with law and legal process, enforce agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and protect rights, safety, property, and the integrity of the Website.
  • Carry out a purpose disclosed when information is collected or another purpose with your direction or consent.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose the categories described above to:

  • Service providers and contractors. Vendors supporting hosting, content delivery, security, consent management, analytics, customer relationship management, forms, marketing, communications, and professional services, subject to appropriate restrictions.
  • Affiliates. Businesses under common control with Rest for operations and internal administration.
  • Transaction participants. Actual or prospective buyers, investors, lenders, advisers, and other participants in a financing, merger, reorganization, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Authorities and protective recipients. When we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the Website.
  • Recipients you direct. At your direction or with your consent.

No sale or targeted-advertising sharing. Rest does not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration and does not disclose it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to requests, manage a prospective or existing business relationship, document and honor consent and opt-out choices, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect against fraud and security threats. The period depends on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purpose of processing, legal or contractual requirements, and risk of harm. When information is no longer needed, we delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it, subject to permitted backup and legal-retention practices.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Marketing. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by contacting privacy@restsensor.com. We may still send non-marketing messages, such as responses to your requests or communications about an existing relationship.

Privacy requests. Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal our response. Submit a request to privacy@restsensor.com. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, subject to proof of authorization and verification requirements.

Browser signals. Because Rest does not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, sale- or sharing-opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control do not change those practices. You may use Cookie Settings to manage optional technologies. We do not currently respond to other Do Not Track signals because there is no generally accepted response standard.

8. International Visitors

Rest and the recipients described above may process information in the United States and other countries whose laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or another permitted legal basis and use an approved transfer mechanism or safeguard. Residents of jurisdictions that provide additional rights may contact privacy@restsensor.com and may lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact privacy@restsensor.com so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not send sensitive personal information through unencrypted email or public Website forms.

11. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Website may link to services operated by third parties. Their practices are governed by their own notices and terms, not this policy. A link does not imply endorsement, and we encourage you to review the third party’s terms and privacy notice.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.

Questions, requests, or complaints concerning this policy or our Website privacy practices may be sent to Rest at privacy@restsensor.com or Rest, 11816 Inwood Rd, PMB 71015, Dallas, TX 75226.
